This article maybe titled as time, but it stresses the lack thereof. Where does the time go? We are immersed in our day to day routine, and time zips past without any consideration of how we used it. Our children seem to grow at a rapid rate, compelling us to reflect on lost opportunities. This is not a “how to” article, and I won’t pretend to have a solution.
My only advice…be mindful of the balance between work and play, and try to squeeze more play whenever you can. This time should not only be for your children (if you have them), but moments for yourself: the time for reflection and to smell the roses if you will.
For all the writers out there, this is especially written with you in mind. Between writing, editing, reediting, promotion, marketing, and advertising, we can become so consumed in our daily routine, we not only jeopardize the creative process, we also lose time.
